I was featured in Hometown magazine in an article written by Brandy Chandler. www.hometownkenntenn.com. I'm very humbled and touched by the kind things she said. Thank you Brandy.

I just received my copy of "The Proclaimers Quartet" new CD, "Proclaim the Cross", with my song "Singing On MY Way". It is not on their website yet but you can check out their music at www.tpq4him.com. They did a great job in true Southern Gospel style! Love it!
Finding a Fulfilling Assembly
Having trouble finding a Church home these days because of worldliness and hypocrisy? Let's face it; Church as we knew it as children doesn't exist in our present world. Some say it's better. Some say it's a mockery. Some say "I just want to go to Church without all the controversy". So, what then? Do we go to a Church that doesn't believe exactly like we do but has a great social activities and childrens program? Or do we attend one that shares our beliefs but lacks the organization, the big choir, the pulpit entertainment, or the liberalism? I'm not saying the size of a Church matter because it doesn't. What does matter is being Jesus Christ centered. It starts with the Pastor's, the leadership's, the flock's, and mostly your relationship with God. Galatians 6:1-4 1. Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such a one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted. 2. Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ. 3. For if a man think himself to be soemthing, when he is nothing, he decieveth himself. 4. But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and in another. Galatians 6:14-16 14. But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world, 15. For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature. 16. And as many as walk according to this rule, peace be on them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God. So, what now? Should we overlook the faults of those who are not teaching the truth? Absolutely not! I believe what Paul is saying is: When you do your very best there is no need to compare other people to yourself. Compare yourself to Jesus. That's all the comparison we need. Now that we're sure we are not being judgemental, we can deal with restoration exactly as the above verse says. 1 Thessalonians 5:12-13 12.And we beseech you, brethen, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you; 13. And to esteem them very highly in love for their work's sake, And be at peace among yourselves. Hebrew 10:24-25 24. And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: 25. Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. As for me, I believe you should find a Bible believing Church, where the true word of God is flowing from the pulpit and every thing else fill fall into place. We can't compromise God's standards and sell ourselves short by participating in ungodliness. Nor can we hold others to unrealistically high expectations. Prayer is the key to this dilemma. Diligently seek God's direction and He'll lead you home. Merry Christmas everyone! I love this time of year. I hope you all have a full schedule with family, friends, and Worship activities.
I'm excited to be adding Daywind Music to my publishers. Pray for me as I continue to write new songs. God bless you all at Christmas and always. If you combine the definitions of social and networking (SOCIAL NETWORKING) could be defined as follows: A large and widely distrubuted group of people who share an interest, aim, or profession, such as store, colleges, or church that communicates with one another and works together as a unit or system.
So here is the controversy. Should Christians socially network with unbelievers or allow inappropriate post in an attempt to win them to the Lord? Here's what God said about it. IICorinthians 6:14,17 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness: and what communion hath light with darkness? Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you. This is not to say that we aren't supposed to witness and try to reach the lost. But it does mean that we should not form bonding relationships and socialize with them. Separation from the world involves more than keeping our distance from sinners. It involves how we spend our time and money. And it mostly involves staying close to God. So when it comes to any type of socializing, I will follow God's instruction in James 4:4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? Whosever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. Preach from the mountains! Love them! Witness and win them for Christ! But, fellowship with God's people. You'll have more peace than you've ever known. If you are a gospel artist in need of original material, send your email address to waldenmusic7@yahoo.com, and I'll send you a demo. As some of you may know, we had to place my Dad in a nursing home last week because of his illness. We were all convinced that Dad was soon going to receive his promotion the glory. Praise the Lord! We were wrong. Dad has bounced back with all flags waving!
He called me today asking me to bring him his guitars. He said these people that come up here to sing are asking me to set in with them and I don't have my electric guitar or my bass. I asked him if they let him bring amps in the Nursing Home and he said I do it all the time and I said but Dad that was before you moved in! God bless him. Dad sure does brighten up his corner. I can almost smell the pancakes and sausage cooking as Dad prepared our Sunday breakfast, like he did every Sunday morning. I'll never forget him asking me "Ginny, do you want white syrup or brown?" Then he'd help Mom get us all ready for Church. He was the first one to arrive at Church and he always had the heat or air running so everyone else would be comfortable. Then he'd teach Sunday School and lead the congregation in those beautiful old hymns. After Church we would all load into the Chevrolet Stationwagon and go out to lunch. After lunch we'd take a Sunday drive through the country and listen as Dad told us the same old stories that we'd heard last Sunday. But, we didn't mind. Somehow it just seemed right. We were all together, happy, and secure with Dad at the wheel.
My heart broke this week as I had to put my sweet Dad in a nursing home. I know it's what is best for him but it hurts just the same. I know God's grace is sufficient. His mercy endureth forever because of grace. Proverbs 9:10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.KJV
He saw the gum on the counter and he knew his Dad was busy talking to his friend. As he was wondering how deep his pocket was and how he could slip it by his Dad, he remembered what his Dad had told him not even a week earlier when he told his Dad he wasn't afraid of anything. He had said "Son in some cases fear is a good thing. Fear can keep us from doing things that we shouldn't do and keep us from taking chances we shouldn't take. Just like me son, I fear my Heavenly Father because if I sin, I'll have to suffer the consequences. But not only do I fear Him, I also love and respect Him and He loves me. So when you start to do something you shouldn't do and you feel that fear, that's a reminder that God is with you and He is always watching". Needless to say he didn't take the gum and that day marked the beginning of wisdom for that little boy. With so much sin and corruption in the world today we as Christians face new challenges. Ask yourself this question "Does what I wear, what I say, who I follow, where I go, and what I do honor God?" If you fear God you'll gain wisdom and all of these aspects of your life will be in harmony with His word. Sure we can be forgiven for our sins but, do you really want the God of all creation who loves you so dearly to be disappointed in you? Proverbs 10:1 The proverbs of Sol'omon. A wise son maketh a glad father: but a foolish son is the heaviness of his mother. I'm working on getting my new website up and running. I hope this is just one of many post to come. I'm looking forward to sharing with you in the future. God Bless!
