Luke 12:29-32 And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of DOUBTFUL MIND. For all these things do the nations of the world see after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things. But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you. Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the KINGDOM.
It is your Father's good (morally excellent) pleasure (enjoyment or delight) to give (to present voluntarily and without expecting compensation) you the kingdom (the spiritual sovereignty or domain of God or Christ)! What a glorious promise and one which should not be taken lightly! Currently many people are concerned for their needs such as food, housing, and healthcare. It's understandable that people are dreading the commencement of the new healthcare laws and rising prices of consumer products. But for those of us who are living beneath the sheltering wings of God almighty, fear should not be prevalent because we know the many promises in God's word that contradict this emotion. "Perfect love casteth out all fear".
Yes, we're human and the natural man will always be unnerved by the unknown. But there is no need to take thought for your needs being met when "Your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things." Trust him and he shall supply your every need.
Christian, take heart and faint not with worry. What matters is your Father's good pleasure and that is to give you the Kingdom. Meditate on gaining heaven and the cares of this world will melt away. God Bless you and keep you in his care.
